WALK
Committee Report:
*Dennis B.-Brockway Borough Council Meeting Feb. 4 outcome. Dennis reported Brockway Ministerium has
concerns with Walk in September due to other events occurring that month in
Brockway. Would prefer August or October
Walk date.
*Dennis met with DuBois council, they are in favor of the Walk; the park
is available and free and WATJ is nearby to the park.
*Punxsutawney Major Wehrle is also in favor of the Walk but council wants
to keep the walk within the perimeter of the park.
The team will have to decide on location of the Walk
at the March meeting.

1)
Heroin
Task Force Request for Proposals Mini-Grant Program Deadline: April 30th
for submissions.
2) Discussion of Board members, motion made by
Nancy and seconded by Dennis Bembenic for Kris Fenton as new Board member
replacing Deb Bowers.
3) Shannon Quick gave verbal notice, stepping
down from Chair position. Board excepted
resignation, Shannon will remain on the Board of Directors.
4) Kathy will assume Chair position. All approved.
5) Motion was made by Pat, seconded Dennis to
nominate Nancy for Vice-Chair. Team will vote on March meeting.
Announcements:
Jefferson County
Geriatric Interest Network will meet the third Wednesday of the month at 9:00
am at the Punxsutawney Hospital.
Community Education Night…Coping with
Dementia and Alzheimer’s.

19 from 6:00-8:00 PM at The Cove in DuBois.
