Committees Report: Team discussed putting a hold on these committees and concentrate on the
Walk to raise awareness, prevention and funds.
Need funds to accomplish the goals of these committees.

discussed changing meeting time to 9am starting with Feb. meeting. All approved.
Walk
Committee Report: Dennis Bembenic
appointed Walk Committee Chair.
When:
Tentative Date Sunday September 19th.
Where: Brockway Borough,
Route to be developed to submit
to Brockway Council Feb. 4.
Dennis
spoke with Dan Hawkins, school superintendent.
Football field off limits can use the parking lot near the pavilion.
Cost for
the pavilion is $100. Mary will reserve
the pavilion once we hear if Council will allow us to have the Walk, money is
nonrefundable and Borough must have it when reserving.
Mary
will write a letter for Dennis to take to Council explaining what SPT is and
what we would like to do and why.
Once we
hear of Council’s approval we will then decide on subcommittees and have
members pick which they would like to join.
Mary
will attend Centre County’s Walk meeting on Jan. 21st @ Penn State
to see how they have organized their committees.
Announcements:
Clarion Psych.
Hospital- new social workers (3 for adults and 3 for children), new
psychiatrist for adolescents and children.
Brookville Senior Transitions Unit-nurse
practitioner started last week, Sandy Stom.
Renovations to add a bed to their unit. Upcoming news, to open a
Geropsych outpatient 1x/week for 55years and older.
Punxsutawney Hospital Counseling Center-Dr.
Gatumu left and has gone to Indiana hospital, will see Punxsy patient with Value
Beh. Health.
DCORT-Psychological 1st
Aid training Jan. 25 @ DuBois Red Cross, any interested contact Mary Brown.
