Clearfield Jefferson Walk for Suicide Prevention &
Awareness
What should I wear? Comfortable walking shoes are a must. Do NOT wear new
shoes. Break them in prior to the event. Also wear layered
clothing that you can remove or add layers as you walk to
be comfortable.
What if it rains on Walk day? We certainly hope it will not rain for our event. If it does, the
walk will still take place. If the weather is not cooperative we
will alter our course however all walkers will be credited for
the entire distance.
Will there be anyone to help me Certainly! There will be rest spots placed along the walk route
along the route if needed? and we will provide water and assistance if needed.
How long will it take to finish Most individuals can complete the walk within and hour
the entire route? and a half, you are welcome to take your time or even
continue walking after reaching you or your team’s goal.
Can my child and/or infant Yes, but please be sure to inform the volunteer who registers
walk with me, even if they aren’t you at the site that they are just walking with you and not
raising money? collecting any money. Everyone who walks must sign a waiver
form regardless.
Can I rollerblade/bike/scooter No. This is a walk, runners are welcome to join.
or skateboard?
Can someone who is Absolutely! The more they merrier. There are many jobs
unable to walk help? available to anyone that is wanting to help with the Walk.
