These definitions give a general description of the service, non-traditional services are individualized to the
specific consumer’s needs through the service plan and the referral &
authorization process.
Mental Health Respite (Children & Adults)
Mental Health Respite provides temporary out-of-home placement of a MH
consumer during times of crisis, or extreme family stress situations. This
includes out-of-home placement as a means of diverting a hospitalization. The
service includes meals, shelter, and help with personal care, as needed.
