These definitions give a general description of the service, non-traditional services are individualized to the
specific consumer’s needs through the service plan and the referral &
authorization process.
MEDICATION MONITORING
Medication
Monitoring is an in-home service to
assure a consumer is taking his/her
medication as prescribed. This service
does not require a Registered Nurse, however a Licensed Practical Nurse,
Certified Nursing Assistant, or a person certified to dispense medication is to
be used.
